Barnabas Music Academy

Welcome to Barnabas Music Academy (BMA) where we offer more than music lessons alone. We will take you on a journey of discovery of music and dance, open to all whatever your age - from 3 to 93! Regular lessons are supplemented by student recitals which will offer you the opportunity to express your talent and the skills that you have learnt at BMA. Everything will be done to lift you up and make you achieve your full potential as you develop artistically.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

ENROLMENT, FEES & OPENING DATES

The minimum enrolment period for lessons at The Music School is a term at a time - we are open in correspondence with the Kensington & Chelsea academic year (we are in the borough of Kensington). Please see website for specific term dates for this academic year. Please note we are not open in half terms, term breaks and bank holidays, etc.

Fees are payable in full at the start of each term.

ABSENCES

Although we cannot refund fees for missed lessons, we can arrange a maximum of 2 'catch-up' lessons per pupil per term. Please note we can only do this on condition that we receive at least 4 hours notice of absence prior to the lesson missed. Also, 'catch-up' lessons must be taken by the end of the following term.

We cannot absolutely guarantee that we can arrange a 'catch-up' lesson for your child/children as it depends on other parents giving us notice of absence - please note that if you ring in to notify us of a missed lesson, we will ask you which other days and times you are able to make. This helps us offer free slots to appropriate parents if/when they become available.

LEAVING THE MUSIC SCHOOL MIDTERM

Please note that there is no refund should you leave before the end of the term.

PREMISSES WHERE LESSONS TAKES PLACE:

The lessons takes place at St Barnabas Church, 23 Addison Rd, Kensington W14 8LH, where several rooms are equipped with the appropriate musical instruments.

COLLECTING YOUR CHILD/CHILDREN

We take the security of all students (and staff) very seriously, but our teachers cannot take responsibility for children once the lesson has finished. Please ensure that you arrive promptly to collect your child/children once the lesson has ended. You are welcome to use our waiting area while the lesson takes place if you wish. Please note that no smoking is allowed on the premises.
